Went out yesterday afternoon. Didn't dress quite right so was slightly hypothermic when I got off the water. Sheesh, enough already.
Anyway, I bumped in to Richie Farrino from Urban Anglers coming off the dock. He handed me two cone head shad flies to try in a color I've never used before, fluorescent Orange.
The color was perfect for the water conditions, MURKY. I alternated between the orange dart and a chartreuse dart to compare. The orange outperformed the chartreuse 3 to 1 and the hits were much more solid.
For reasons I can't define I really don't like using pink darts so I'm really happy Richie turned me on to this color. I'll be reaching for the orange when the water is really dirty.
