{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re:

There is one other option out of Pirates Cove (near south Nags Head) that works for 8 or more. The charter boat, owned by Capt. Allan Foreman, (sorry forgot the name of the boat, but its on the PC charter boat website) is rated for 12 or more. He does offshore bottom fishing, as well as offshore trolling. Yep, offshore fishing out of Oregon Inlet has gotten very expensive in recent years. If you pay $1,900 for boat, tip mate $250-300 if he's a good one, and pay for fishing cleaning…well, you get the idea. Call Capt. Alan personally, and see what he can offer you.

I can also highly recommend The Maurader (Capt. Troy Crane), who does both 1/2  and full days, but if you are going late May through mid-June, book a full day for cobia. His boat holds the NC record for cobia at 122 lbs, but he books up solid that time of year. Still, limit on the Intermediate boats is 6.

Make sure none of your 8 get sea sick. Several may have never been out of sight of land. If they think they may have an issue, your 8 may drop to 6. All those over the counter remedies help, but if/when you get sick, its an awful day!!!

The MIss Hatteras (mentioned above) is also a good option for 8 if you are willing to get down to Hatteras before sunrise.

Good Luck!!
