Jamie,
You don't need waders especially if you are just working with a single hand rod. Most of the single hand folks practice on the grass area. Just tie a piece of yarn at the end of your leader, or I will have some with me.
I hope to have another instructor or two on hand. We will all work with whoever is there.

Hi John:--I apologize for a question that may seem obvious, but are you going in the water?I just started fly fishing last year and haven't yet purchased waders (I want to earn them by getting better at the basics first). I'm probably in a similar position as Logan. Thanks!Jamie
