{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Casting Church, Sunday 13 December

We will have our casting get together on Sunday, 13 Dec at Fletcher's Cove from 8am to 11am.

We will also help anyone with any particular casting issues. Bring your questions. We will have some extra gear, no need to buy anything. If you are curious about flyfishing/flycasting and are wanting to see what it is about, come on by.

We will have focus on distance AND accuracy. It is one thing to cast far, it is another to cast far accurately. This will build on the fundamentals we have worked on during the last several meetings.

We will practice social distance. Pretty easy to do since we are outside. And since we are all holding fly-rods and moving them around, this separation tends to work out naturally.

However, if you are ill or suspect you might be, please respect the health of others and rest up at home. There will be other casting churches, once a month at least.

Come on out, whether you are a novice, intermediate, or advanced caster, it is all fun to work on solving casting problems and casting challenges.

If you are just getting started, this is a great way to meet people who can help. There will be casting instructors on hand.

If you are preparing for an upcoming trip and looking to re-fresh your casting skills, this is a great opportunity.

I think I'll save the possibility of a significant memory for a sunny tarpon day in the Everglades or another trip back to Christmas Island :-) I think if its cold I'd shoot for catching and continuous casting. Thanks for the recommendation on Escatawba, definitely a consideration. Has anyone fished Harmon's private water in the winter?
