They have not stocked it yet. BUT they have stocked plenty of other creeks around! you can check the daily trout stocking here - https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/trout-stocking-schedule/

they may wait until later in the year to do so, who knows, maybe when temps get colder? I think last year i didnt start poking around until november..

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Holmes Run and/or Accotink Creek Stocking

Can anyone tell me if the VDGIF has stocked Accotink Creek and/or Holmes Run yet? If so, when?

I have a CfR retreat alumna who wants to fish. Complete newbie, only available on Thursday. Double Spur/Cedar Creek is booked. Passage Creek is closed for construction to the hatchery.

Any and all advice appreciated.

Swung by it 2-3 years ago and spoke with a couple of guys pulling their kayaks out - spinfishermen, they said don't used crankbaits there - to many snags etc, it'll get expensive.

I've been down there on the shore. Absolutely nothing to see from the shore, unfortunately, but there's a paddle in my future as well. Lots of videos on YouTube, and a good Wiki page also. What a wild history. Looks like a fantastic kayak / fishing / birding spot.
