I come from that area and it pains to me think that the Susquehanna could have this epic shad and striper run and the Conowingo Dam prevents it. The lower reaches of the Susquehanna and the surrounding area would have also had an abundance of brook trout, there are still 1 or 2 streams with populations in southern Lancaster County if you know where to look, that are now completely gone. The wild brown trout in the area are nice but it's not the same thing.

Just wanted to thank you for devoting the flies tied at the April beer tie to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. The Walter Reed team always looks forward to this annual event to replenish our supplies. If you can come to the Antietam Angler's Casting Rendezvous on March 5th, in Williamsport MD that would be a great start. There will be a handful of CCI's as well as Phil Gay an MCI.

Are there any other's that are interested in certifying or at least re-engaging the casting clinic's please let me know. I've been trying to find a regular time and place that will fit my schedule.

Along with fishing in the river, we will have a tent full of environnmental education activities for the participants to enjoy.
