{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} NCC-TU Presents MUSKY Night with Matt Miles January 10th at Rock Bottom Brewery

Hey there TPFRers,

NCC-TU is going to be hosting Matt Miles on Wednesday January 10th 8:00 PM at Rock Bottom Brewery to discuss fly fishing for Musky, and the techniques and strategies to maximize one's chances of catching one of these apex predators.

We're very excited to have Matt coming all the way up from Southern VA and a number of TPFR members can attest to Matt's skills as a fisherman and guide, especially when it pertains to Musky in the Mid-Atlantic.

We hope to see you there.

Headed to Lancaster, PA this weekend for kid tournament. May have some time to kill and brave the cold. Any ideas on fishing in the area near Dutch Wonderland?

To add onto what Yam said, it looks like there is a pretty bad fish kill occurring right now due to water temps.

I'm sure it's happening down there as well. The photos I have seen this morning in VB are not good.

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} OBX in Winter?

I honestly wouldn't go expecting much. There can occasionally be bluefish on the beach but it is extremely sporadic and difficult to predict. When I lived in nc I would sometimes shoot out to the outer banks based on a good report and it was always a should have been here yesterday thing. Also, fishing the surf is a lot different then fishing flats or the open oceans. Can be pretty frustrating.
