The sulphur hatch on the Little J in May can be a lot of fun. It is susceptible to getting blown out by rain storms so be sure to check the levels (TCO fly shop usually posts 'em).

Orvis also teamed up with the Unicorn Winery in Amissville VA (out by Warrenton) They cover all the same material in Flyfishing 101 and 201 but with more depth. Lunch is provided as is some wine tasting. The winery has a pond with lots of pan fish and some pretty aggressive bass.

I will be on Penn most weekends in May. Im workin in Pitt. Feel free to shoot me a text or email. I fished Penn a lot last year. Sulfer hatch is in May. There is a fly shop but i forget the name. Ill re write to this email when I think of it. I always welcome the company. As for a motel or somethin im still researchin.

I can vouch for Penns Creek. My uncle has a cabin up there and I go every year. Incredible hatches throughout the spring. It's famous for its green drake hatch in early June, but that's some challenging fishing as it's mostly at night.

If you're interested, reach out to a guy by the name of Bruce Fisher at http://www.pennscreekangler.com/. He can set you up with a cabin and guide if you want it. He knows every pool in the creek and can tell you what's hatching when. You have to have the right fly at the right time or you'll get really frustrated.
