{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: looking for intel on fishing Harman's log cabins in WV

We fished there a few year's back in December and enjoyed it a lot.  You can walk out of your cabin and hit the water.  I believe their private portion of the stream is less than 2 miles so you should be able to hit most of the productive areas in a couple of days.  We found most of our better fish in deeper pools.

All,

Some buddies and I will be staying at Harman's log cabins on March 18 and 19. I've never been to the place. I'm looking for any advice, including what sections of the river to focus on, fly selection, tactics, etc. I believe Duber of Orvis Clarendon has guided there, so I'll probably stop in and try to pick his brain.

Also, since you can't check in there or fish before 1pm, I'm looking for input on nearby places in WV (i.e., on the way to Harman's from NoVa/within 1 hour of Harman's) to fish before then. Right now, I'm thinking of the Blackwater River, which I've fished before and is only about 1 hour away.

Many thanks in advance!
