Fished Rock Creek this weekend for a couple hours, moving around between Connecticut Ave and the cemetery. Not great, but a few fish around.
-- For those that have fished the creek in the past year or two, expect to see a fair amount of change to some of the structure and holes - the floods this spring really blasted some spots, and changed things up fairly significantly. A couple places got deepened, and will probably pay off later in the summer, but at least 2 good holes from last summer are shallower and will likely not hold the fish they used to. The creek bed in those areas is pretty soft still, so watch your step.
Only saw 2 bass on the day, caught 1 little guy. Had a few decent bluegill, and 1 catfish on a clouser. Probably could have stuck a few more of the cats, but I was mostly scouting for bass, and didn't feel like getting slimed.
For Carp fans willing to really bushwack into the creek and do some wading (really do recommend waders, the creek has a smell to it right now), there was a pod of carp visible from the bike path at one spot that were probably locked in on mulberries.
Ran into TPerkins out there - nice to meet you, always fun to run into TPFR folks on the water.
