For the record, I sighted the fish, cast, didn't move my fly, and he came right up and sipped it. Once the cicadas get going I anticipate that buzzing the fly will be more effective. This guy was probably just curious to see if my fly was food.--Make sure your cicada pattern is in the photo, preferably in the fish's mouth!
