Does anyone have flies they are planning on working on over the winter?I have standards that I will eventually get around to (Royal Wulff, Parachute Adams, Elk Hair Caddis) but I'm thinking about things that are a bit out of the ordinary.I was going to try some Patriots (Charlie Meck flys) and then try to get my woven nymph techniques back in shape. Something like this.http://flies.montana-riverboats.com/?page=Frank-Matarelli/up-2016-03-08_Matarelli-golden-stonefly-nymph.jpgorhttps://loren.teamfreestone.com/tutorials/nymphs/woven-polish-nymphCarl--Carl...

They have moved to a new location this year, (from the fairgrounds to a school).Even if you don't like fly fishing, come and watch a natural gathering of aging white guys with beards, wearing plaid. {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Pickerel - Seeking spots/tips
Great summary, Misha! Funny how each fish got progressively larger.I'll add that we ended up at St Mary's because of a combination of frozen water and posted property between Myrtle Grove and various other rivers we drove past. Misha's one fish also outfished a kayak angler at the lake, who covered much more ground than we did on foot.I'm not sure I agree with your #3, but I need more data points...I haven't caught...

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Pickerel - Seeking spots/tips

So I was lucky enough to get out for pickerel twice this month, once with Andrew and once with Thomas. I seem to have carried some pox that applied only to my fishing partners, for while I caught fish both times they caught none. Not that the action was all that frenzied, but I managed to get three, one on the outing with Andrew and...

If anyone has fished the trout streams in SoCal's San Bernardino NF and if you care to share any advice/streams to fish, please do so as I'll be in Palm Springs in January 2018 and would appreciate the info. Interested in: 1) stream names; 2) flies. Thank you.

Dalton, What you call hazing, I call friendly banter amongst local club officers…and I think the real reason that hat may be hung up is because Andrew just got a shipment of new NCC-TU hats in. Saw one early last week during a casting session…not to shabby. -Trent On Friday, December 22, 2017 at 8:09:19 PM UTC-5, Dalton Terrell wrote:That's the one and only Andrew Reichartd, President of NCC...

That's the one and only Andrew Reichartd, President of NCC TU. But I'd imagine he might be hanging up the hat TPFR hat due to Trent's hazing.
